Yummy Spleen:)

Hi Everyone,

Today, I had a real scare. Ever since yesterday, I've been a bit run down (just very tired & poor appetite). Also, I vomited once yesterday. Due to my upset stomach, I've been on a cracker & cereal diet. Here I am enjoying crackers & cereal with my friends:



Today Mommy took me to see Dr. T. When she saw my large watermelon belly, she was a bit concerned so she decided to investigate further. As she started feeling my melon, she noticed that my spleen was enlarged. So she told me to get a blood test done ASAP. Mommy & I picked up Daddy from work and rushed over to the hospital (incidentally, the hospital where I was born). Here, I had my first encounter with a needle in my vein. I was so mad. Luckily, they were able to get my vein after only two tries (though I'm sure that if Grandpa Yook was doing it, he could get it on his first shot b/c he is an excellent vein locator).


When we got the results back, we learned that everything is fine:) Phew! That reminds me - I'll have to ask Dr. T. what my blood type is. As it turns out, my spleen got enlarged b/c it was working extra hard to fight a viral infection (probably another stomach virus or flu). Unfortunately, my whole family got sick from this virus. But we're getting better.
