Celebrating Grandpa Yook's 70th Birthday in Lancaster, PA!

Hi Everyone,

We just got back from celebrating Grandpa Yook's 70th birthday in Lancaster, PA. His birthday was in May, but we wanted to celebrate with the whole family including Uncle Raphael and his family. We left last Friday.

Our first stop was the Strasburg Railroad, where we had fun at the museum and riding the dinner train.




After the Strasburg Railroad, we went to the resort (Willow Valley Resort and Conference Center). They had a nice water playground for kids like me (Jackie). So Jackie and Daddy spent a couple hours in the afternoon playing at the water playground. Afterwards, we all headed over to a nice Japanese restaurant to continue celebrating Grandpa Yook's 70th birthday:

Believe it or not - even though cousin Natalie is 3 years older than me and almost a head taller, we weigh the same! Is Natalie too skinny or am I too round?



After dinner, we came back to the resort and went to bed.



One of our favorite parts of this trip was going to Dutch Wonderland! Jackie and her cousins had a blast. Jonathan was snoozering for most of the day. Jackie especially loved the fast rides like the roller coaster! Even though we spent the entire day at DW, we weren't able to go on all the rides and we didn't have time to go to the water park. So next time (hopefully next year), we'll need to spend 2 days at DW.

Jonathan hung out with Grandma & Grandpa for most of the day.


One of my favorite rides was the "Fun Slide"! Jackie made Daddy take her up on the slide at least 5 times!



At the end of the day, Grandma bought us some gifts. Jackie got a red car and water spray/fan. Jonathan got a binky with his name on it. We didn't give Jonathan a binky until that point - but it's been working like a charm. Natalie, Adam and Abby also got the water spray/fans.


On the last day of our trip, we had amazing brunch at the resort. It was voted on the best in Lancaster - which we can understand why since they had so many different kinds of food to choose from, including chocolate fountain!








The weekend didn't seem long enough to squeeze in everything we wanted to do, but on Sunday we managed to hang out at the duck pond, corn maze and playground which were all located on the grounds of the resort. I especially LOVED the playground!






Happy Birthday Grandpa Yook! Hope you had a great 70th birthday! And thank you Grandpa and Grandma Yook for treating us to such a great vacation!
