Jonathan's Follow-Up with the Hematologist

Hi Everyone,

Today Jonathan had his follow-up appointment with the hematologist. They weighed and measured him, took his blood pressure and temp., and drew his blood. Incidentally, he now (at 8.5 weeks) weighs 12 lbs 10 ozs and is 23.5 inches long. The doc also went over the final bone marrow biopsy results. The good news is that everything looks normal, but his neutrophil levels are still slightly below normal. The doc isn't too concerned but feels that his neutrophil levels should be monitored periodically as he is still not sure if the low neutrophil levels is due to a viral infection or a possible chronic condition. Overall, it was a good appointment - though Jackie started melting down towards the end.
