HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M ONE!!!!!!

Yeah! It was a close call, but I made it. This year was like an epic battle.
I entered the world at exactly 2:50pm on March 13, 2006 after Mommy pushed for 20 minutes. Daddy says that I almost flew out! Glad Dr. Mausher caught me or else I would have been in bad shape! Daddy gave me my first feeding (i.e. formula) b/c Mommy had to be rushed to surgery after my birth (don't worry - she made it ok b/c she's a tough cookie).
During this year, I made a lot of really cool friends. When I was only 6 days old, I met Kristi who came over with her Mommy to help us figure out how to breastfeed. Despite their valiant effort (as well as ours), we decided to pump and bottle feed instead. Mommy actually pumped and fed me her milk for 11 months. However, Mommy's supply began to dwindle as she pumped less and less (from more than 60 ounces a day to 1 measly ounce).
My friend Lucian and his Mommy & Daddy helped me make my first significant strides towards sleeping through the night. I started sleeping through the night at 4.5 months. They are also really cool to hang out with. Lucian - I don't think that I ever told you, but I'm sorry that I got you sick last week. Can you please forgive me???
Of course I need to mention my friend Jacob b/c he always gave me a preview of what developments were in store for me (since he is 5 weeks older than me). I think we get along really well because we "talked" a lot to each back when we were both in the womb.
Although I haven't known Alex & Abby quite as long as Kristi, Lucian and Jacob, we have become fast close friends because we tend to hang out A LOT. Both are cute as a button - but they have very different personalities.
So lets see - I mastered rolling over, sitting up, crawling, standing up, cruising, saying "dada" and "baba", waving, taking solids and cow's milk (raw milk). I'm getting closer and closer to taking my first steps - maybe I'll be able to take these steps at my party?
I've battled diaper rashes (just in the last few months), 1 or 2 minor colds and the norovirus! Luckily, I was victorious!
Well even though today is my birthday, I didn't do a whole lot. I went to a new play group today (the one that A & A go to). It was fun. I got to meet some new babies and kids. Afterwards, Mommy took me to Target to get some things and she let me ride in the "big kid" seat for the first time!!! Woohoo! Here's a photo of me (you can see that we were in the card aisle looking for my Cousin Phillip's birthday card - it is cool to be born in March):
I also got a birthday card from my Uncle Eric:
Thanks Uncle Eric!!! He's my super smart uncle that can remember how to get to any place (much better than Mommy & Daddy combined)!
Also, I wanted to thank the "other Palmers" for the generous contribution to my college.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Love,
Jackie
