Hi Everyone,
I know that it's been a while since my last post. I'm sorry that this post will be skimpy in terms of pictures. A lot has happened over the past week, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get too many pictures taken.
Well last Thursday was Valentines Day. So happy belated Valentines! Also, I wanted to write my annual love dedication to my favorite guy: my Daddy of course! Ok - so here is my top 10 reasons of why I love my Daddy:
1. Daddy still calls me his "genius baby"
2. Daddy takes me out on our special Daddy & Daughter walks. We've been trying to get Mommy to come with us, but she is not as athletic as we are.
3. Daddy still plays the chase game with me. I don't know if I'll ever get tired of that game!
4. Daddy still brings home the bacon so that I can buy my milk and cookies:)
5. Daddy will lift me up higher than Mommy. I guess there are benefits to having an extra tall Daddy:)
6. Daddy squishes my toes.
7. Daddy reads to me A LOT!
8. Daddy lets me kick him in the head whenever I sleep with him and Mommy.
9. Daddy prays with me each night
10. Daddy shares his breakfast with me each morning!
Sorry that this list is a little belated, but we've been so busy these days.
I've still been struggling with my sleep. Naps are getting much better and I'm "generally" putting myself down. However, night time is still tough. I had a good night last night, but it may have just been an exceptional night. Normally, it takes me 2 hours or more to fall asleep. Also, I don't like sleeping on the bed or aerobed. I prefer sleeping on the floor. Sometimes I'll even sleep on the hardwood floors. Last night, I fell asleep on my wooden food pieces. That was comfortable!
Last Friday was a particularly difficult night for Mommy & Daddy. I didn't fall asleep until 2am and I woke every every 2-3 hours afterwards. Since they were so exhausted the next day and since that next day was their 5th year wedding anniversary, they decided to drop me off with Grandma and Grandpa Yook in Richmond while they spent Saturday evening in Williamsburg (the romantic city where they got married). They ending have some really juicy filet mignons at a restaurant called the Whaling Company (located very close to the place that that they had their wedding reception - Kingsmill). Unfortunately, I was not invited. I always seem to get left out whenever they go out for "good food." On Sunday morning, they came back to Richmond to pick me up. I had a very successful night with Grandma and Grandpa Yook. However, to Mommy's dismay, she learned that Grandma Yook cut my bangs (which Mommy had been trying to grow out). For whatever reason, Korean families seem to be really into the "bowl" cut. Here are some before and after photos:

We finally came home on Sunday afternoon.
On Monday, I had a playdate with my buddies in my Fall Church group. I also went out to Costco where Mommy got me some diapers and wipes. I also convinced Mommy to buy me another Thomas the Train book. I had a huge tantrum in the store when Mommy tried to put the book back. Mommy was not happy with me.
Mommy has been trying to do "time outs" with me lately. She used my old play yard as a "time out" area, but a few days after using the play yard, I figured out how to climb out of it. So now, Mommy is thinking about putting me in my room for time outs. Unfortunately for her, I've figured out how to open the doors. So Mommy is planning to get covers for the door knobs so that I cannot open the doors. Until she gets these knob covers, I plan to continue my reign as the queen bee of our castle.
Ok - well I better go take my nap now. Hope everyone is doing well!
Love,
Jackie
